Gluten Free Cooking Classes

Classes are run on Saturdays from 10.30 to 1.30.  You can book any class you may be interested in, however, I do recommend that the first class you choose is “Simple Beginnings”.  This class encompasses basic baking techniques and information on the products that are used when baking gluten free.

The classes are small and intimate as they are made for individual instruction. That way the pace is set by your ability and plenty of time can be given when you need it.  No prior baking knowledge is necessary as you will learn along the way.

The cost for each class is $150.00 (including GST) and includes all your ingredients, the products you have made and will take home and the recipes you have baked that day.  At the end of the class, you will enjoy your creations during afternoon tea in the garden.

SIMPLE BEGINNINGS


You will learn the basics of baking in this introductory class.
Recipes featured are:

  • Chocolate Slice/cupcakes
  • Pizza Bases
  • Biscuits

PASTRY – SWEET AND SAVOURY


Gluten Free pastries are simple to make at home and just require a food processor and rolling pin.  With easy instruction, you will make beautiful pastry dishes that are sure to impress.

As pastry is traditionally a high dairy cuisine, please advise if you have a dairy intolerance. I also cater to people with a FODMAP allergy as well as vegans. Savoury fillings are always vegetarian

EUROPEAN CAKES


European baking is a very elegant and flavour-driven style of cake making. These cakes are delightful for a special event afternoon tea.

In this class, you will make a Linzer Torte and a Whole Almond, Orange and Chestnut Flour Cake. Both cakes are simply divine to eat and quite easy to prepare.

Be mindful if you have any form of nut allergy as this class will not be suitable for you

DAILY BREAD


The most asked for gluten free product is a really good bread.  These breads are a snap to bake and are very impressive

A white bread that is good for sandwiches, toast and bread rolls and easily adaptable to a variety of other breads including seed and fruit-filled

French Baguettes

Focaccia with toppings that are limited only by your imagination.
